This model comes with standard 4-wheel drive featuring the Jeep Active Drive Low system. It also has a 1-inch factory lift for increased ground clearance, and can handle up to 19 inches of water fording. The Trailhawk has a 2,000-pound maximum towing capacity, and comes with red-painted front tow hooks, and a 30-degree approach angle hat that enhances its athletic prowess. Even if you don’t opt for the Trailhawk, all trim levels of the Compass have a touch of Jeep’s sporty nature, and all five models share the same powertrain, consisting of a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder Tigershark engine, and your choice of either a 6-speed or 9-speed automatic transmission. Rear-wheel drive comes standard with the first two trims, while the Latitude LUX, Trailhawk, and Limited all have 4-wheel drive. Either way, that powertrain will afford you 177 horsepower and 172 lb-f of torque to get you to your destination!

Even the leather itself has been updated for 2022, featuring a new colorway that pairs Slate Grey leather with elegant Burnished Copper accent stitching. Now for 2022, all five trim levels feature the new Uconnect 5 infotainment system, which comes with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration.
