The first trim level you’ll find in the 2022 Jeep Compass lineup is the Sport. This model is sleek, simplistic, and provides you with all the essentials for your daily driving needs. It also introduces the standard powertrain for the Compass lineup, which features a 2.4-liter Tigershark 4-cylinder engine, and either a 6-speed or 9-speed automatic transmission for the front-wheel or all-wheel drive models, respectively. Rear-wheel drive comes standard, but the Sport also has all-wheel drive as an option. It also features LED headlights, an expanded rear storage area, and cloth interior, as well as a robust standard safety package with features like active lane management, blind-spot monitoring, and active lane management, among others. On the dashboard, the Sport includes the Uconnect 5 infotainment system with wireless Apple and Android smartphone connectivity and an 8.4-inch screen.
The Latitude trim follows the Sport, and maintains all the same standard features while adding its own unique features that elevate it to the next level. On the Latitude, you’ll find many small touches and design features that make a big difference to its overall look and feel. These include a leather-wrapped shift knob, overhead ambient lighting, illuminated visors, and upgraded vinyl upholstery. The Jeep Compass Trailhawk boasts Jeep Trail Rated capability, which means it’s been tested against the elements in areas such as water fording, maneuverability, traction, and more. If you love exploring off-road trails, then the Trailhawk is the model for you! It can tow up to 2,000 pounds, and handle up to 19-inches of water fording. It also comes with a 1-inch factory lift, and a black hood decal that reduces glare on the windshield. It also has a tapered front end, due to its athletic 30-degree approach angle, and the underbody is protected by steel skid plates. The Trailhawk has standard 4-wheel drive using the Jeep Active Drive Low 4X4 system, with a 20:1 crawl ratio for crawling over rocky surfaces with ease. It also features front tow hooks and heated second-row seats.
The Limited trim tops off the list of trim levels for the 2022 Compass, and it really emphasizes the luxury and refinement that this vehicle has to offer. The Limited has leather interior with heated seats in the first two rows, power-adjustable front seats with power lumbar support, and dual-zone automatic climate control. It also offers a new color option for 2022, which features Steel Grey leather interior with Burnished Copper accent stitching, which further adds to the upscale and elegant look. On the exterior, the Limited features rain-sensing wipers, and a Gloss Black roof, and it also offers advanced safety features such as parallel and perpendicular parking assistance, and traffic sign recognition.
